DOOMBEN RACE 2 # 4 THE RUMOUR FILE

No surprised to see this one firm in from the $11.00 available on UBET earlier in the week. Cracking run here 2 weeks back when racing wide from at least the 800m, entitled to fade in the straight he still looked a winning chance before feeling the pinch very late. Great each-way chance at still good odds.

DOOMBEN RACE 4 # 4 MANIAS

Really hit his straps this time in. Can’t think of a more impressive horse going around in Brisbane at the moment and the manner of his last couple of wins suggest today’s weight rise isn’t going to stop him from bringing up the hat trick.

DOOMBEN RACE 5 # 2 SNITZ

Drew a gate here two weeks ago and what a difference that made! He box seated behind the lead, quickly found the front into the straight and was never in any danger of being beaten. Drawn the pole today he’ll gain a similar run and I’d be surprised if the result was any different.

NEWCASTLE RACE 7 # 8 THREE SHEETS

Given a break since finishing on the heels of the placegetters at Doomben 7 weeks ago when he weaved home strongly in restricted room down the straight. Back to 900m is as short as he wants it however with a strong pace ensured Robert Thompson will have him winding up strongly down the outside at the business end of the race.

MACKAY RACE 1 # 1 OPTION

May be a 14 start Maiden however that’s all set to change today. He’s raced out of his grade yet performed well at his past couple and meets four very average rivals this time around. Gaining a decent price looks the main concern as I can’t see him being beaten.
