Today’s Best from the trials…

Barry Lockwood trained debutante Dark Element goes around in Race 3 at the Sunshine Coast today. Should he stay solid in the market he looks a decent chance off what he showed at Deagon late last month…

HEAT FIFTEEN      MDN TRIAL 1050M  (HEAVY 8)    TIME    64.75    (TR 96)              LAST 600     37.01

1st Dark Element A E DENBY (8)
2nd Prince Of Tie GLEN COLLESS (1)
3rd Turquoise ALANNAH FANCOURT (4)
4th Beacon Street RON STEWART (5)
5th Striker Thomas BRIDGET GRYLLS (6)
6th Naughty Corner BRAD STEWART (3)
7th Irish Vice CHRISTOPHER MC IVER (7)

TRIAL OVERVIEW – PRINCE OF TIE bounded from the gates & led clearly before the challengers started to come, he led DARK ELEMENT narrowly with NAUGHTY CORNER now starting to drop back. Right out beyond the centre of the track PRINCE OF TIE headed up well clear with DARK ELEMENT even wider out the only danger. A danger he sure was coasting by under a good grip mid straight before coming clear to the line. TURQUOISE & BEACON STREET both held their ground without being pushed out.

NOTES – Like the look of the winner DARK ELEMENT, Red Element gelding whose dam has had the two to race of which both are winners. PRINCE OF TIE was only narrowly beaten only start, looks to have improved & should be breaking through this prep. PRINCE OF TIE & NAUGHTY CORNER both wore the heavy work shoes.

After a few months of re-formatting the Queensland Trial Review Service is back in a different way.

Firstly & probably the most appealing to most is the price which is now only $25 per month (plus GST). Yes that’s total price per month for a comprehensive report on each heat from Doomben, Eagle Farm, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Deagon, Toowoomba or anywhere else ‘official trials’ are held.

I have a free sample to send which covers the 17 heats run at Deagon last Tuesday which has already featured last Saturday’s Doomben 2yo winner Cooroi Chase.
