UBET Saturday Racing Wrap for today 26/11/2016

Queensland's New-Look Summer Carnival

EAGLE FARM:

Best Backed: Flitero captured 60% of the Race 2 hold, but the money went amiss when the $2.50 favourite found the line fourth.

Hard Lay: $4.60 out to $10, Cylinder Beach defied an astounding drift to take out the Recognition Stakes.

Bookie Basher: Punters thought Billy The Kid was a sure shot in Race 4, backing the last start winner into $3.10 from $6.00. They were spot on.

Early Bird Special: See above.

Flop: Cool Mover was backed like a good thing at $1.85 in Race 1, but the Gillian Heinrich filly let down her legion of fans.

ROSEHILL:

Best Backed: Our fixed odds team dodged a bullet when odds on favourite Interstellar finished out of the placings in Race 8. She held 70% of money wagered and, naturally enough, represented a huge liability.

Hard Lay: Few wanted a ticket on Liapari in Race 3, especially when he got the drifts. $2.70 out to $3.70, he never figured.

Bookie Basher: Delightful Feeling was heavily backed in Race 4, jumping at $3.30 after briefly touching $4.20. Seems punters are happy to take any price a Matthew Dunn-trained horse in the Highway Handicap races.

Early Bird Special: Early shoppers snapped up the $13 about Madotti this morning. She jumped $7.00 and got the nod in Race 8 in a close photo. $11 into $5.25, Race 6 winner Hogmanay also earns a mention.

Flop: Balmain Boy was well found around the $4.00 mark in Race 3, but the Les Bridge grey looked a tired horse today.

MOONEE VALLEY:

Best Backed: Darren Weir runner Stellar Collision was smashed from $4.00 into $2.50 in Race 8. His supporters are still waiting for him to finish.

Hard Lay: Our traders could not wind Race 1 favourite Invincibella out fast enough. As it often does, the market told the story.

Bookie Basher: One for the favourite backers, Black Sheep trimmed from $4.00 into $2.30 and was never in danger in Race 5.

Early Bird Special: Wise Hero went up $7.00 on Wednesday. He flew the gates at $2.60 and won Race 4 easily.

Flop: $5.50 into $3.20, Moonlites Choice got back in the small Race 1 field and made no impression.
